EERA LAB started from a simple question: when the world is moving so fast, can hospitality operations keep up with the pace? We saw a gap between what modern guests expect, the genuine passion owners have to be transparent and create a positive impact… and the reality of how businesses are run, where good intentions often get lost in the day-to-day hustle.
We wanted to try things differently! More tech. More transparency. More sustainability. Better experiences. Smarter operations. Stronger budgets.
So we started by building. ‘Emboo Camp’ in the Maasai Mara became our own lab. A wilderness camp created for the new generation of travellers. While we were building, we heard it all: EVs won’t cross rivers. Solar won’t carry a camp. Automated systems in the bush? Impossible.
Yet, here we are. Emboo has a full fleet of electric safari vehicles, solar-powered operations, wastewater systems filtering every drop, hydroponic gardens with automated irrigation, real-time operational data at the touch of a button, a gender-balanced team in all roles, 50% direct bookings, an average guest age of 35 years old, and more.
Guests loved it. Teams thrived. The business performed better.
